My Smashin Pumpkin Hollerween
Halloween is such a production - especially in NYC where you have to pay to breathe on this day. We had big plans on Saturday night - pregame at our friends then go to the Eldridge for a friends’ party and then go to Brooklyn for a crazy 7-warehouse rave, infamous for the artists who come in elaborate costumes and perform circus tricks. It was 70000 ft sq ft of party space and was supposed to be ridiculous. The latter didn’t happen for us. It was better that way. It was just friends at the Eldridge and dancing until the end of the night to exactly what we wanted to listen to. As curious as I was about the 7-warehouse party I had heard that there was a 2-hour line and I was bearing a lot of skin so standing outside was not my idea of halloween. Here are photos from Friday night when I had a big party at my dad’s apartment (that he has been renting from another woman) and the neighbors heard and wrote this email.
stuart,
just so you know…this came from my neighbors — an inter building email:
“did the party at suzy’s last night keep you guys up? for us the clomp of 100 high heels was pretty loud …it started about midnight, went til about 4 am….susan had an early call time of 5 and saw the last departee go about 5:30… there’s a beer can in the lobby the table veneer is stripped off…it would be nice if they had let us know ahead of time.
please know that people actually LIVE at 472 greenwich street. just because it’s not your home doesn’t mean it is a crash pad. would you have allowed such a soiree at your home?
Hell yeah. I haven’t been reprimanded by my father like that since I was 16. Hell yeah. I’m 23 years old and still getting in trouble for parties.

My camera died half way thru the night so i dont have many photos of Sat nite. I painted myself gold and was Ganesh, Hindu elephant god. Now I have 700 blackheads and an 8-day hangover.
