My Brief Return to my College Years
It wasn’t my college I returned to. It was Skidmore College @ Saratoga Springs, where my brother, a senior, attends. So my mother and I did the 4 hour drive, through the fall foliage to college.

Clear skies and colorful trees
I was pretty nervous, particularly because I was staying the night in Seb’s room. What would his friends think of me? Would they think I was creepy for going back to college and medium-partying with them?
So when we arrived on campus, we were greeted by a group of girls in shorts, Northface fleeces, Vera Bradley bags and carrying nalgenes. While familiar with these creatures from my college experience not too long ago, they were still strange creatures, and they scared me at first sight.
This is us arriving at Seb’s abode
Then we saw more strange college creatures. These had weapons of some sort

The night was great. We drank beers and chatted. Seb was embarrassed when I started rapping all the lyrics to Jay-Z’s “Lucifer” and then again to 50 cent’s “Many Men”, oh and then again to Pharrell’s “lapdance”. I think I did a little rendition of “Forgot about Dre” as well. Then we saw his roommate perform for about 8 minutes until the Camp-Po (campus police) turned up. Then I met some people, made friends, schmoozed then passed out. It was 5am when I went to bed.
The next day we went apple-picking. I had donuts and apple cider for breakfast.

I’m really getting into the groove of college living - sugar and fried dough for bfast

Then I found this Guam quarter. I’d love to find one of Guantanom Bay. Too soon?

I dont know why were smiling so fakely. It really was a fun day.

Then we ate BBQ lunch at this cool place

It was a very American day

Then to top it off, I obvi had to take an emo picture of myself, cos thats what college kids do.
I will probably be going back to Skidmore. The weird-girl thing works in my favor at liberal arts schools.
